In 2020, he launched HimalayanGurus Fitness—a unique residential fitness program designed for anyone, regardless of fitness level. His goal? To empower people to take charge of their health and fitness in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Before founding HimalayanGurus, Niraj held a key role as the Format Head of MMA, HIIT, and Self-Defense at Cult-fit, in both India and Dubai. There, he developed programs that reached people from all walks of life. He’s also led private workshops on BJJ, MMA, and self-defense across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, sharing his expertise with diverse communities.
Niraj’s dedication goes beyond fitness; he’s also deeply passionate about teaching self-defense, especially to women and children. Through free workshops in government and private schools, he’s impacted young lives, with a goal of reaching one million students across India.
An accomplished martial artist, Niraj has earned accolades in grappling, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and MMA. In 2019, he won the gold medal at the ADCC Singapore Open in the 65 kg category and took bronze in the Absolute category. He also secured a silver medal in the National Grappling Championship in Delhi in 2017.
With over a decade of coaching experience, Niraj has built a reputation for excellence. He holds certifications as an MMA Conditioning Coach, a Heart Rate Performance Specialist, and an ISSA Transformation Specialist, demonstrating his commitment to helping clients reach their fitness goals.
